TASK FORCES |
COORDINATING COUNCIL
The 13 person Coordinating Council consists of a Moderator, a
Secretary, a Youth representative and the
chair of each of the nine committees (listed below with
brief descriptions). Also, as pastor of the church, Doug will serve as an
ex-officio member of the Council.

COMMITTEES
Until other procedures are duly established, all matters of finance and
action that involve the wider congregation will be cleared with the Coordinating
Council.
Faith In Action
Provide tangible hands on opportunities for expressing our faith and concern
for the wider world. Research and suggest allocations from the Faith in
Action Fund to the Coordinating
Council. Interpret and connect the wider mission and ministry of the UCC to the
Congregation.

Pastoral Care/Fellowship
Provide nurture, support, and encouragement to partners and friends of NRUC.
The pastoral care/fellowship Task Force recognizes that we are all ministers
and therefore can offer ministry to each other.

Stewardship and Finance
Organize financial campaigns and projected budgets while educating the
congregation on 'money matters.' Track and oversee current cash flow and
expenses. The Treasurer will work as an ex-officio member of this Task Force.

seek to build community through specific events of laughter and love
(get-to-know-you dinners, social outings, after church fellowships, etc.).

Recruit and coordinate leaders and resources for children's events including:
children's Sunday School, nursery, and child care during other advertised
activities (such as the Sunday Forum). Provide special activities for children sporadically throughout the year.

Worship and Music
Work closely with Doug, plan in advance for the liturgical themes and
upcoming seasons of the church. Also importantly, help organize the many facets
of weekly worship, from singers to set-up, greeters to readers.
